Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer is a successful entrepreneur from Brazil. Eduardo grew up in an entrepreneurial family. His grandfather was the founder of RBS group. Eduardo is now the president and the Chairman of the RBS Group and the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. The company is found in Rio and Santa Catarina. Eduardo founded another Company under RBS, Digital Bricks that invests in developing businesses in the digital sector. This Company operates in Brazil and the U.S.

Nicknamed as Duda Melzer, Eduardo owns a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio. He also has an MBA and two executive courses from Harvard University. He studied how media Companies can have effective strategies and how to build customer relations in an organization.

Duda Melzer began his career in 2002 in America where he worked at Delphi Corporation as a Senior Financial Analyst and also as a Director General at BoxTop Media. In 2004, he joined RBS as the Director General. In 2008, he was the interim VP of Market and Business Development at RBS. In 2012, Duda was promoted to be RBS’s Chairman and in 2015, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In a report by Dino, as a successful entrepreneur, Duda says that he got his inspiration from a Harvard Professor, John Davis, who is also a family business specialist and a consultant at RBS. Davis taught RBS to apply rules of excellence in governance. Other influential people in his career are Ram Charan and Jim Collins. Duda and his family have been running the family business by applying professional management hence the success.

RBS is a media company in Brazil that was founded in 1957 by Mauricio Sirotsky Sobrinho, Duda’s Grandfather. The Company deals with radio and television services, entertainment, newspapers, and internet. They also deal with publications.

Duda Melzer is a public speaker in national and international forums mostly those promoted by World Association of Newspapers. He also loves forums that promote people management such as National Congress of Human Resources.
