Mikhail Blagosklonny Contribution to Fight against Cancer

Mikhail Blagosklonny is a professor, teaching oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and a scientist. He concentrates his studies on cancer and aging including targeted cancer therapies and anti-aging drugs. He has an M.D in internal medicine and experimental medicine and cardiology Ph.D. from St. Petersburg First Pavlov State Medical University. In 2002, Mikhail was made an associate medicine professor at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York.

Fight against Cancer

In his search for cancer and aging cure, Mikhail Blagosklonny has worked as a senior scientist at Ordway Research Institute. Later in 2009, he joined Roswell Park Cancer Institute as an oncology professor. The experience he had garnered from his previous workplaces enabled him to become outstanding at his new position.

Editorial Works

Additionally, Mikhail involves in editorial works of cancer, and he is a chief editor of Oncotarget, a peer-reviewed journal, and Cell Cycle. His other editorial works include working as an associate editor for cancer biology and therapy and participating in the editorial board of Cell Death and Differentiation. He is also an associate editor of the International Journal of Cancer, PLOS ONE, and the American Journal of Pathology.

Mikhail has a keen interest in oncology and believes that the cure for cancer and aging can be found. He writes about chemotherapeutic engineering and cyclotherapy. Mikhail wrote the aging hyperfunction theory. He has 300 hundred published research articles, book chapters, and reviews, all published under his name.

Driving Motivation

Mikhail is driven by his love for humanity and desire to see a disease free community, factors that he attributes to his passion and choice of his line of work. Among other scientific contributions, he is recognized for his advocacy for the use of Rapamycin. The drug is used in cancer treatment, and Mikhail suggested it as a possible treatment for life extension.

His efforts and achievements have made him one of the world’s renowned scientists and Oncology researchers. He is also categorized as a passionate advocate for Rapamycin.
