A good night’s sleep is vital for optimal health. But for people with dental-related sleep problems, getting a good night’s sleep is practically impossible. Dr. Avi Weisfogel of Dental Sleep Masters became aware of this problem while studying for his DDS at the College of Dentistry at New York University. Since he graduated, he has spent many years working to create viable treatments dentists can use to help patients suffering with sleep apneas and other sleep disorders. And he has shared the treatment methods he developed with dentists all across the country and worldwide.
After opening his first practice, Old Bridge Dental Care, in 1999, Dr. Weisfogel spent the next 15 years earning rave reviews from his dental patients and those that also had sleep problems. His work was so well received he was voted Dentist of the Year several times. He also continued to delve deeper into sleep problems and how dentists and physicians can work together to address the issue. He even founded a company called Healthy Heart Sleep in 2010. Through this company he advised and worked with dentists worldwide to help them to establish and manage sleep labs.
In 2012, Dr. Weisfogel founded Owner Unlimited Sleep Patient. He also began to offer lectures to dentists in an effort to help them to identify and provide treatment for patients with sleep disorders. He also created Dental Sleep Master in 2014. Through this New Jersey based practice Dr. Weisfogel did further work to help more dentist become involved in treating people with sleep and breathing disorders using oral appliances. During that time, he continued to build on his reputation as one of the leading experts on using dental care to treat sleep problems.
Today Dr. Avi Weisfogel is regarded worldwide as a leader in the battle to treat sleep problems. His commitment to sharing the results of his in-depth research to help dentist identify and treat sleep problems using oral appliances and other dental related techniques while collaborating with people from a wide range of industries has earned him the respect of dentists and sleep deprived patients.
