USHEALTH Group, Inc. offers a broad portfolio of insurance policies to meet their customer’s needs. These policies include those for specialized health coverage, one that meets the 10 essential benefits of the ACA, permanent life insurance, term life insurance, and annuities. They underwrite and sell their own policies to customers, most of whom are small business owners or run sole proprietorships. They are based in Fort Worth, Texas, and through their subsidiary USHEALTH Advisors they have insurance agents across the nation. It was first established and opened its doors to customers in 1982.
Unlike many health insurance providers, USHEALTH Group policies can be purchased throughout the year. This is helpful to those who missed an open enrollment period and/or are exempt from mandatory coverage under the ACA act. They offer a number of specific insurance policies such as those covering dental or vision. They also offer a policy, among others, that is called the Accident Protector which provides coverage in the event of specific types of accidents. This policy can provide lump sum payouts and also features excess medical insurance which can provide money to help pay for deductibles.
The essential health benefits policy that one can get through USHEALTH Group insurance agents must be bought during open enrollment periods, however. It is compliant with the ACA although it cannot be purchased through one of the state or federal government-run exchanges. Their Bronze plans are available in 13 states, mostly in the South. They also have a Silver plan that is available for purchase in the state of Colorado. They do not offer a Gold or Platinum plan, however, anywhere.
According to USHEALTH Group’s Linkedin.com page, they are a privately held company that employs somewhere between 200 to 500 people. They also collectively have more than 50 years of experience in the field of healthcare. They are an innovative company that strives to offer policies that are both flexible and affordable in naturein order to best meet their customer’s needs.
